Interpreting Tarot Cards
Interpreting tarot cards is an art. It is not done by reading the meaning of
the cards to find out what is going to happen or what to expect.
If this were the only way to do it, there would be a lot of people with the same readings.
The meaning of the cards does factor in however they have to be interpreted to the person who is requesting the reading.
Normally a reading is for a particular person wanting to know one thing in particular or general idea of where their life is going. The cards
do have a specific meaning however when reading tarot cards the position of each card changes the meaning.
For instance, a card has a meaning of a rewarding relationship, and when read it is in a spot that points to the future, this indicates that a
rewarding relationship is coming soon. If it is in a spot that indicates present adversity, then it is a warning that you need to work on your
current relationship.
When cards are reversed the meaning changes totally. Most tarot card readers do not reverse cards. The practice is not skilfully done and the
meanings of the cards can be interpreted without using this method.
Interpreting tarot cards is going to be different for whoever does the reading. While the basic meaning of the cards will be the same, the
positions they are in will determine whether something is going to happen now or in the future. This will also determine if it is something you
need to work on or something good is coming your way.
The tarot cards do not tell you in specific terms one thing or another is going to happen. They are just a guideline for your intuition to
kick in. Seasoned readers can look at one of the cards and know by instinct what one certain card is trying to tell them about the person
requesting the reading.
Half the reading process is nothing more than getting familiar with your cards and their meanings. Practice is the name of the game.
